DECKEE AND NAUTILUS MARINE INSURANCE TO COLLABORATE ON BOATING SAFETY INITIATIVES

Deckee, the award-winning technology company behind the leading boating safety app, has announced a new initiative with Nautilus Marine Insurance, which will see the organisations collaborate to foster safer boating activity across Australia.

Nautilus Marine customers will be encouraged to take advantage of the free Deckee mobile app, designed to keep boaters safe and informed on the water by combining trip logging features, Bureau of Meteorology weather conditions and warnings, navigation aids and points of interest in one easy to use app.

Deckee has already gained official endorsement from state maritime authorities in New South Wales, Western Australia and Tasmania, and recently received the support and advocacy of the Boating Industry Association.

Nautilus Marine is a market leading insurance provider currently covering over 35,000 watercraft owners Australia wide, offering protection for small to large recreational craft including sailing dinghies, ski boats, yachts, cruisers, houseboats and PWC’s (Jet skis).

“Deckee’s mission to keep boaters safe and informed on the water resonates deeply with marine insurance providers,” said Mike McKiernan, Deckee Founder and CEO. “We’re thrilled to have the support of Nautilus Marine to continue growing the impact that Deckee is having on water safety in Australia.”

Deckee and Nautilus Marine will also co-develop educational content for Nautilus Marine Magazine, which currently offers product profiles, destination features, reviews and industry news.

Lyndon Turner, Chief Executive Officer of Nautilus Marine added, “We are continuously looking for new and innovative ways to inform and educate boaters, and the impressive capabilities of the Deckee app can make an important contribution to the safety of our customers and their vessels.”
