Runs from problems and ambiguous fine print

Had a public liability policy with Trident. Anytime there was any question of an issue they would start running and saying they wouldn’t cover anything like that. When it came time to renew my policy I questioned them about a paragraph that said they would not be liable in the case of a product failure or an installation application failure, and asked exactly when they would be liable then. They tried to say it was of no consequence but when pressed they agreed it was ambiguous and said they would take it out. However I had lost faith and ended up going with Proteus. More expensive but 100% difference in attitude.
Fine print meaning I had no cover during the policy.
