Extremely professional experience

I too have become a Topsail Insurance customer. As mentioned elsewhere, I have been trying to get coverage since our dismasting, hard fought claim settlement, and consequent refit. To our surprise, despite the condition of our relaunched boat, most of the insurance companies we contacted were not interested in underwriting once we shared the information of our recent claim (the only one in 33 years of cruising). We were able to get 2 quotes, one with a company with which we were formerly insured, at 50% higher premium, seemingly ignoring all the refit work (including all new rig and sails) attested to by the new survey. Topsail which advertises in the Flying Fish/ Ocean Cruising Club's Journal, did not really cross my radar until I read the post above. I contacted them and found it an extremely professional experience. I hope that I never need to go through the claim experience again, but should it happen, I am left with the impression that things may go better next time. Did I mention that the premium is less than before?
