Invoice was almost three times higher than the quote

We were quoted $695, but were then given a invoice for $2020. No phone call prior to carrying out the work to see if this was ok -they just went ahead anyway.
They replaced every item in the raft, even though nearly everything still had two years left on the expiry date.
They told us that they had to do this because the service interval is three years. If this is a standard service interval , then they are fully aware that most items would be replaced before they quoted us, so why not warn us of this prior?
I find this very underhand.
When we queried the bill, they said “ well you can’t put a price on safety “ . Really? They seem very happy to put a huge price on safety.
Also, when the liferaft was returned it was only re certified until 2019 and not 2020 as per the 3 year service interval. We rang them to ask why and they told us they would email a new certificate and told us just to use' p touch' label maker to alter the date on the raft. Seriously? And this is legal?
Will never use them again
