Fantastic Marina in a fantastic location

Magnetic Island Marina is a friendly, well run and well maintained marina in a beautiful location.

Lance and team are incredibly helpful and will do all they can to make your stay easy and enjoyable.

Magnetic Island and surrounds is worth sailing the 130nm from the Whitsundays with peaceful pristine beaches, stunning scenery and amazing wildlife. The marina is a perfect stepping stone to all of this.

The marina is conveniently situated close to a fantastic supermarket (IGA) - 3 minutes walk!! It doesn't get better than that!

Close by there are a variety of restaurants at a variety of prices, the ferry to the mainland if you need to get boat parts and the bus so you can explore the island via the land.

The marina is well protected - even when the sou-easters are established you don't even get a roll in the marina.

The marina amenities are perfect - situated in the Peppers Blue on Blue complex (2 minutes walk) with large comfortable bathrooms which make you feel you're in a hotel. Clean and well presented.

All in all one of our favourite marinas in Australia!

Marina facilities

If you are cruising the Qld coast and plan to leave your boat for a period of time (to go back home etc), I can strongly recommend the Magnetic Island Marina. This is a modern marina with floating pens, good facilities, good security and as cyclone proof as it is possible, all at a reasonable price.

We have left our boat there over the summer months and will do so again next summer when we again head back home to Albany, WA. The staff are friendly and helpful, while keeping an eye on the boat while we were away. The shopping and cafe/restaurant facilities are very close by when you are back on the boat.
