An incredible island with something for everyone

Hamilton Island Marina, being dug out from the land originally, offers excellent shelter. Almost too good, as even robust breezes fail to penetrate, making this a hot marina to be in. But who wants to sit on the boat when so much is available ashore? Marina guests have access to restaurants, bars, beach, resort swimming pool, island tours and activities, and the Dent Island golf course. The 300 berth marina caters for vessels up to 60m, and someone meets each boat on arrival, avoiding that last-minute stress of trying to find your allocated berth. You'll find the usual amenities block and laundry, plus fuel, gas, wi-fi, and airport transfers, making this an easy place for crew changes. Shipyard services include: 60t travel-lift, chandlery, mechanical, electrical, shipwrights, and other boat care. There is also a supermarket, bakery and full chemist and medical service. Hamo's not cheap, but offers a lot. Apart from the resort, the island has great natural assets and walking tracks, so this is a place that will appeal to diverse tastes. Call in for a break, or use the marina as your base for an island holiday. My personal favourites are the waterfront cafes just above the old part of the marina - sit with a coffee and watch the amazing variety of people passing by.
