Great overnighter

Reviewed Aug 2016
We have come into Hamilton Island Marina a few times now and find the facilities very good. Showers and toilets are clean and well appointed. The shower cubicles are well designed so there is room for your towel and clothes without them getting wet. Once in site of the marina you radio them and they will come and meet you in a tender and let you know which side of the boat to prepare for docking. You follow them in and they give you a hand to tie up..... and take your money. $115 as at Aug 2016 for the night. They are also happy to help you on your way if needed. You can also use the resort facilities such as the pool for free.

Excellent stay at Hamilton Island Marina 2018

During the 2018 cruising season we had the plearsure of once again staying at Hamilton Island Marina. We noted that the marina was far busier than usual and the further you can book in advance the better to gurantee not being disappointed in not getting a berth. The staff continued to operate a very professional and freindly approach which is always well received. The price is far cheaper than Abel point Marina with the benefit of using the pool and bus service. An independant IGA supermarket is now operating and we found ourselves provisioning there as it was just as cheap as the mainland prices allowing us to stay out at the islands longer with out returning to the mainland. Biggest Plug I can give is that we will have no hesitation in returning

An incredible island with something for everyone

Hamilton Island Marina, being dug out from the land originally, offers excellent shelter. Almost too good, as even robust breezes fail to penetrate, making this a hot marina to be in. But who wants to sit on the boat when so much is available ashore? Marina guests have access to restaurants, bars, beach, resort swimming pool, island tours and activities, and the Dent Island golf course. The 300 berth marina caters for vessels up to 60m, and someone meets each boat on arrival, avoiding that last-minute stress of trying to find your allocated berth. You'll find the usual amenities block and laundry, plus fuel, gas, wi-fi, and airport transfers, making this an easy place for crew changes. Shipyard services include: 60t travel-lift, chandlery, mechanical, electrical, shipwrights, and other boat care. There is also a supermarket, bakery and full chemist and medical service. Hamo's not cheap, but offers a lot. Apart from the resort, the island has great natural assets and walking tracks, so this is a place that will appeal to diverse tastes. Call in for a break, or use the marina as your base for an island holiday. My personal favourites are the waterfront cafes just above the old part of the marina - sit with a coffee and watch the amazing variety of people passing by.
